Frequently Asked Questions
Do you travel?
Yes! I’m happy to travel throughout Northern Colorado and some areas outside of Northern Colorado to officiate your wedding. Whether you're getting married in a backyard, in a park, or at a venue, I can be there.
Is there a travel fee?
Travel is included for weddings within 40 miles of Greeley, CO. For weddings beyond that radius, a travel fee applies to cover time and mileage.
What if you need to stay overnight for our wedding?
If the location is more than 50 miles from Greeley or if your ceremony requires late-night or early-morning availability, I may require overnight lodging. We’ll discuss this upfront so there are no surprises.
What are your specialties?
I specialize in non-denominational and personalized ceremonies that reflect your values and love story. From traditional to offbeat (yes—even Gnomish weddings!), I create ceremonies that feel true to you. Elopements and micro-weddings have become a specialty because many couples are forgoing the expense and focusing on what truly matters: starting their lives together.
Can you help with wedding planning?
I’m always happy to share planning tips, timeline guidance, and ceremony coordination advice—but I’m not a full-service wedding planner. For more extensive planning support, I can point you to some local professionals for you to interview.
Do you offer pre-marital counseling?
No, I don’t offer premarital or marriage counseling, as I am not a licensed therapist. My focus is on creating a meaningful and memorable ceremony experience.
Do you only do religious weddings?
Not at all. I specialize in non-religious and spiritual-but-not-religious ceremonies. I’m also experienced with secular, interfaith, and blended family weddings. Every ceremony is crafted with your values in mind.
Will you help us write our vows?
Yes! I can provide templates, examples, and prompts to help you write your own vows—or I can write the entire ceremony for you, including custom vows if you prefer.
Can you attend our rehearsal?
Absolutely! Rehearsals are optional but highly recommended, especially for larger weddings. I offer rehearsal as an add-on to your ceremony package, but some packages do include a rehearsal.
What if something comes up and you can’t make it?
While that’s never happened, I have a network of trusted officiants I can call on in case of emergency. Your ceremony is important, and I always have a backup plan.
How long is the ceremony?
Most ceremonies last about 15–30 minutes. Elopements may be shorter, and custom ceremonies with readings, sermons, or rituals may take a bit longer. I’ll tailor the timing to fit your vision.
